TFX 142 Rear Shock / Rebound, High & Low Speed Compression & Preload Adjustments

TFX 142 shocks provides you the maximum performance and adjustability to meet your demands on and off of the race track. With a multitude of adjustments, you can be sure that you can tune your ride for any condition or situation.

142 shocks include the following features:

  • Designed, Tested, and Manufactured in Holland.
  • Available with either Threaded or Hydraulic Preload Adjuster for optimum sag setup. (see *Recommendation, below)

  • Piggyback mounted Reservoir with several possible configurations for ease of installation on bikes with little room for mounting - This also allows for the best mounting position for airflow and cooling.

    • *Recommendation: Please note that it is extremely difficult to access the Threaded Preload Adjuster on this model.  Therefore it is HIGHLY recommended that this product be purchased with the Hydraulic Preload Adjuster option.  The Threaded Preload Adjuster is designed for the rider whose loads do not change and therefore seldom needs to adjust the spring tension on the rear shock.

    TFX Shocks on BMW R1200GSA

    I have a 2012 BMW R1200GSA. When I went to upgrade the suspension on this motorcycle I decided to go with a set of Ohlin TTX shocks. I had the Ohlins setup for my weight and riding style. In the 2 years and 24K miles I owned these shocks I could never get the ride where I wanted it. It was always harsh. The sag was set correctly. I tried adjusting the rebound and compression but it just resulted in various levels of harsh. I called Ted and talked over what I was looking for in a new suspension. He spent a significant amount of time answering all my questions. I decided to order a set of TFX shocks. Once the TFX shocks were installed I checked the sag. It was spot on. I set out on all the roads that felt harsh with the Ohlins. It was immediately apparent these shocks were in a whole different league! The motorcycle felt firm, planted but never harsh! And the range of adjustments make a much bigger difference in the ride and handling. This was exactly what I was looking for when I originally replaced the OEM suspension.

    Thanks for the great service I love the shock it rides amazing just went for a test ride on my 08 R1200GS on a sandy wash board road the bike handled better than ever and yes I reset the sag to where you set it up.Thanks again now I just have to get the front shock great product and great staff! Steve D.
