I have a GS-911 Wifi I bought to use with my 2016 R 1200 RS. I now have a 2018 S 1000 XR which has an OBD 2 type connector instead of the BMW round connector. This cable allows me to use my GS-911 Wifi with my new (to me) bike

The adapter allowed me to reset the maintenance light on my 3018 RS, without having to upgrade my old GS-911.
