R1200 Ei Rebuildable BMW drive shaft for 22 spline models (gearbox side). Replaces BMW part number 26 11 7 706 394.

Uses grease fitting equipped extra heavy duty German made U-joints with removable circlips for easy replacement. Damper material replaceable by removal of one circlip. Extra set of dampers included. Fully rebuildable, all parts are available separately. Supported by a one year warranty.

U-joints are factory lubed and sealed, but for longest life u-joints can be greased every 30-40k miles. Use NLGI Grade 2 spec with an EP additive, commonly referred to as EP2 grease. One example is Chevron Ultra Duty EP2 grease but any lube meeting these specs is acceptable. 

Fits Oil Cooled R1200 models (does not fit Liquid Cooled R1200 models) with 22 splines at gearbox end:
  • R1200GS and R1200GSA 09/2007-on 
  • R1200RT from 01/2008-on R1200R from 01/2008-on 
  • HP2 Sport (not HP2 Enduro or Megamoto) 
  • RnineT 
  • RnineT Scrambler

Purchasing this driveshaft was my first experience with Beemer Shop. I'll be back for more in the future. My bike has 50k miles on it and from what I've read, OEM driveshafts have been found to fail @ around that mileage. Spent my Covid relief check + some to get this assembly and I'm very happy with the decision. Included was an additional set of cushions and snap ring for the shaft cush-drive along with some spline grease. Assembly into the bike was easy and now I'm confident that my bke can take me wherever I need to go. Thanks Beemer Shop.

They rebuilt my 2009 R1200GS Adv suspension using Wilburs shocks and my ESA kit. Excellent. Then I purchased this shaft since the bike has 100k miles. I have a new watercooled GS but the hexhead handles like a track bike now and this shaft should give me another 100k. At half BMW prices and it can be serviced/rebuilt! Thanks Ted!
