TFX SPRING / Heavy Duty Rear Spring for the OEM Shock // R1200/1250GSA-LC standard height and factory low models.

Replacement rear shock spring for the dynamic ESA equipped liquid cooled GS models. Fits factory low models too. Black only.

If your stock rear shock is still working OK but is not able to carry your weight and loads, this replacement spring from TFX will solve the problem with a 170 N/mm spring (stock spring is 150 N/mm), Great for heavier riders and loads or two up riding. Special tools and know-how is required. Labor charge to install spring on shock (off bike) is $25.00, with generally a one day turnaround. There exists a progressive front replacement spring also but the initial rate is lower than the stock spring so you tend to blow right through the first stage, therefore we don't recommend it. Rider, passenger and luggage loads are all biased over the rear shock spring so this is where the spring rate needs to be increased for many riders.
