The Yacugar steering damper by Hyperpro is a great upgrade from the stock non-adjustable steering damper with 24 clicks of damping adjustability providing the right amount of damping needed for any environment. This damper will give you better stability on the street, and better control off pavement by reducing the forces transmitted to the handlebars from the front wheel. It is a linear damper which is specifically recommended over a progressive damper for adventure bike applications.
Designed to fit in the stock damper location, with easy to follow instructions, installation is super easy with all parts and hardware included. Kit is 100% complete, no modifications or other parts required. Covered by a five year warranty, and it’s fully rebuildable.

At 75,000mi I started running wide in corners on pavement and gravel, and I could feel tar snakes and rumble strips. 75mph felt twitchy and unstable. I was starting to get head wobble. My typical 95mph interstate cruise felt unsafe. Then I noticed my OEM dampener was leaking. This product fixed everything when I set it at about 70% dampening. Took a bit longer than an hour to install. Instructions were very clear.

Just a quick note, the steering damper is fantastic. I’m only running it at 6 of 22 and it’s far superior to the OEM damper. Thanks again! Rob D. R1200GSA-LC

I just installed it. Piece of cake! It has 24 clicks, so I decided to try it on 6. Smoothed out my bumpy urban commute to work. I totally noticed the difference! Can’t wait to try it off road!
