Z model Topline Gas Emulsion Shock. From other retailers this shock is only available with one spring and it's a bit firm. YSS does not offer optional springs for this part number. We had custom springs made for us exclusively so only we can set up this shock perfectly for your weight and loads. 

Note: there is a cheaper version of this shock available but it uses low grade mounting bushings which wear prematurely, and the piston is only 30mm with poor damping characteristics. You can count on us to know the difference, we chose to not sell the cheaper version of this shock.

    Ted This is just a quick note with my observations. You and I discussed a replacement for the mono shock on my 1991 BMW R 100 RT. After consideration I ordered the YSS shock which arrived in eastern Canada this week. An outward review indicates for my uninformed eye that this is a quality shock. Fit and finish is excellent. Installation was straightforward and enhanced with a helper. As I hoped, the fit was perfect and required no modification of any sort. It took two of us one hour to complete the removal of the old shock and installation of the new. I just returned from a 50 mile test ride and I am delighted with the improvement. All of the wallowing that I was experiencing in corners has been banished and the harsh ride with the old shock has disappeared. In my opinion this is a lot of shock for the price and I have no hesitation in recommending this update to any airhead owners.
